This week we moved into our beautiful new office. This got us thinking about all the places we have worked… we’d like to share a few thoughts and learnings of our collective hotdesking woes.
Ghosts by George Wylesol (Source: It’s Nice That)
1. It’s probably not appropriate to play dubstep at 10 am on a Monday (or ever).
2. The quality of coffee is very important.
3. In shared environments, someone may steal your lunch.
4. Sparkling water on tap is super fancy but won’t fill the hunger of the stolen lunch.
5. Don’t have really loud conversations about the guy who didn’t swipe right to your less-than-sympathetic work colleague.
6. It’s never advisable to have a shouty call next to a stranger
7. Renting out meeting rooms is as difficult as trying to board the Central line during rush hour.
8. Watching people elbow each other on free cheese and wine night is a highlight. The people who got to the brie were the smuggest. The only cheese left over was the humble, orange cheddar.
9. When it comes to getting the sunny desk in the corner, we will fight you.
We’re settling into Huckletree Shoreditch and we couldn’t be happier — pop down for a cup of non-questionable coffee and check out our good-looking office.
